Apple has released a new update to Safari, an update available for macOS Catalina and Mojave while still working on Monterey, the next version of Apple’s Mac operating system. I am talking about version 14.1.2, a version that is already available to all users of both operating systems through the Software Update section.

For now, Apple It has not detailed what are the news that arrive with this update, but most likely it will focus on patching security problems, just like it did with Safari update 14.1.1, which released on May 24, an update that fixed up to 9 security problems detected through WebKit and WebRTC both by the Google team and by anonymous researchers.

Normally, Apple waits for the launch of new versions of macOS to add new functionality or include security updates, as long as you plan to release a new one. For now, Apple is focusing all its efforts on macOS Monterey, a version that in its next beta will include the same version of Safari as the bugs that have been corrected in this new update.
