Tafsir al-Manar, Karya Muhammad Abduh dan M. Muhammad Abduh melihat bahwa tafsir yang baik adalah tafsir yang tidak keluar dari maksud dan. Tafsir Al-Manar yang bernama Tafsir Al-Qur'an Al-Hakim. Yang pasti, Tafsir Muhammad Abduh, al-Manar, telah diterjemahkan ke Bahasa Melayu di kuarter pertama abad 21 ini. Diterbitkan tahun 1925. Penulisan tafsir ini dimulai dari surat al-Kahfi juz 15. Tafsir al-Azhar berpedoman pada beberapa tafsir sebelumnya, seperti al-manar, al- Maraghi, dan Fi zilalil Qur’an. Tafsir al-Azhar mengcover keadaan sosio-kultural masyarakat Indonesia (lughawi). Namun, jika ditelisik lebih lanjut tafsir ini lebih bercorak sufi tasawuf.
Tafsīr al-Baghawī (Arabic: تفسير البغوي), also known as Ma‘ālim al-Tanzīl, is a classical Sunnitafsir (Qur'anic exegesis) by Husayn b. Mas'ūd al-Baghawī (d. 1122), written as an abridgement of Tafsir al-Thalabi by al-Tha'labī (d. 1035). It is generally classified as one of the books of narration-based tafsir, as it collects and presents many statements from the Sahabah and Tabi'oon. The book primarily relies on 11 reliable chains of narrations, which al-Baghawi mentions in the introduction to his work.[1] It currently exists in four volumes and eight volumes in its Lebanon edition and Cairo edition respectively.
